Investment

  • In order to do my best work, I keep my caseload small. This means I do not accept insurance.

However, you are entitled to use your Out Of Network benefits for mental health. I have partnered with Thrizer to process these out of network claims. Please see their website for additional information.

  • I choose not to take insurance for several reasons:

Self-Care: We all need to take care of ourselves, even therapists. By not working with multiple insurance companies, I don't have to see as many people. This keeps me from experiencing burnout (yup, it happens to me, too) and allows me to be more present and do my best work during your session.

Confidentiality: Your confidentiality is extremely important to me. Insurance companies are nosy AF. They want to make sure you really need therapy and they don't leave that decision up to either of us...the person who is struggling or the professional. Why let them determine your needs - they don't know you like that.

Diagnosis: If you want your insurance company to pay, they want a diagnosis. Quite frankly, I'm not going to give you one unless it's super duper necessary. This little code can have consequences for you and your family moving forward (think life insurance). If you do require a diagnosis, we'll talk about it and make sure it's completely necessary.

  • Some insurance plans offer out of network benefits. It is your responsibility to check these benefits with your insurance company. If your plan offers out of network benefits, you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for your sessions from your insurance company.

You will need to request a Superbill from me, which is provided monthly.

You will still be responsible for paying my fee at the time of service.

Please refer to Thrizer for how to access and use your Out Of Network benefits.

  • Individual session: $170 per 45-55 minute session (in person and online).

$75 for additional 30 minutes (in person and online). This must be pre-scheduled.

Your sessions are your time and can be structured however you want. If you need to leave a little early, no problem. Need a second session that week? That’s okay, too. Please be assured that I reserve this space in my schedule just for you. If you do not use all of the time allotted to you, however, your charge will still be the same.

  • Payment is due at the time of service. You are required to keep an updated card on file.

If you have an outstanding balance that cannot be collected after, 4 months I will turn this balance over to a collections agency.

  • I’ve recently partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.

    Mentaya is perfect if you:

    • Have out of network benefits

    • Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
    • Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement

    • Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!

    Here's how it works:
    1. Sign up for Mentaya: https://mentaya.com/inviteclient/cMTvWhmeixdxwKKhIYYA
    2. My practice will enter your sessions into the platform.
    3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
    4. You get reimbursed by insurance!

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.

It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

  • Money is an important factor these days, I get it. Instead of putting therapy on hold, you can still invest in your wellbeing, just in fewer sessions.

Intensive EMDR Therapy sessions are 3 hours long and while that sounds like a lot of time, that time is spent getting to the heart of the matter, faster.

    Payment plans are available.

  • Please complete the following EMDR Interest Form. If you do not receive a response from me within 72 hours, please email me here.

(Gotta love technology, sometimes it sends important emails to Spam.)

  • Yes. The workbook is especially for new clients and helps me get to know you and the things you’re bringing to the session.

You can begin your transformation before the Intensive EMDR Therapy session even begins with this workbook.

Filled with assessments for you to complete along with questions to prompt you to start thinking about the things that are causing you distress. These could be memories from the past, thoughts about yourself and emotions that keep coming up.

  • Two-four weeks after the Intensive EMDR Therapy session, we will meet again for 90 minutes to recap from the Intensive session and check in to see how you're doing. We'll talk about treatment goals for moving forward. This may include scheduling additional Intensive EMDR Therapy sessions, a multi-day Intensive EMDR Therapy session or returning to weekly therapy sessions.

  • Intensive EMDR Therapy sessions take place in my office at 2451 Executive Drive, Suite 205, St. Charles, Missouri 63303.

Collaborative EMDR Intensives

  • Collaborative EMDR Therapy is an “all hands on deck” approach where two therapists join forces to provide the client with top notch and inclusive care. If your client is experiencing persistent trauma-related challenges, Collaborative EMDR Therapy steps in as a valuable tool. This approach allows the client to continue their work with you, their primary therapist, while also engaging with me, a secondary EMDR therapist, for a specific period and concern. Once the Intensive sessions are complete, the client returns to the primary Therapist to continue your work together.

  • So glad you asked! Have your client sign a release and then either of you can reach out to me to get things started. I look forward to working with both of you!
